The stock intake hose is constructed of weak plastic that can collapse under increased boost pressure and eventually break apart over time. The factory hose also has internal ridges that disrupt airflow.

The MST inlet hose is engineered to increase airflow and replace the restrictive factory hose between the airbox and the inlet pipe. By removing the pleats found in the OEM inlet hose, the MST inlet hose is perfectly smooth on the inside and has a significantly larger internal diameter than the OEM part which increases airflow considerably.
